Introduction

  Located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang University is a prestigious institution of higher education. In its 126-year history, Zhejiang University has always been committed to cultivating talent with excellence, advancing science and technology, serving social development, and promoting culture, with the spirit best manifested in the university motto “Seeking the Truth and Pioneering New Trails”. 

  Zhejiang University focuses on assiduous study and research, and science and technological innovation. It has launched a number of international high-end academic platforms and gathered masters, scholars and high-level research teams in various disciplines.

    Zhejiang University includes seven campus, namely Zijingang, Yuquan, Xixi, Huajiachi, Zhijiang, Zhoushan and Haining International Campus. The disciplines of Zhejiang University cover 13 categories, and it has 7 academic departments, 39 colleges, 1 engineering college, 2 Sino foreign cooperative schools, and 7 directly affiliated hospitals.

Zijingang Campus

  Zijingang Campus is the main campus of Zhejiang University. It is located in the Xitang North Plot of Hangzhou City, adjacent to Xixi National Wetland Park Park. The campus covers an area of 5369 mu. At present, Zijingang Campus has a total of 22 departments, with all administrations and some directly affiliated units settling in. There are over 30000 full-time undergraduate, graduate, and international students.

Yuquan Campus

  Yuquan Campus, the former main campus of Zhejiang University, is located in the northwestern corner of the West Lake, next to the Plant Park. Most of the colleges located there belong to science and engineering department. There are more than 14,000 students living and studying in this campus, most of which are senior undergraduates, postgraduates and Ph. D. students.

Zhijiang Campus

  Zhijiang Campus is located in the south of Hangzhou City, and near the Qiantangjiang River. At present, School of Guanghua Law is located at the Campus. Zhijiang Campus is the former site of Hangchow University, a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level, where there are well preserved modern university buildings.

Haining Campus

  Haining Campus is the international campus of Zhejiang University. It covers 200 acres and is bordered by an ecological wetland to the north and by the scenic Juanhu Lake to the south. At present, there are two top level Chinese foreign cooperative schools in China, namely, the Joint College of University of Edinburgh of Zhejiang University and the Joint College of Urbana Champaign Campus of the University of Illinois of Zhejiang University.
